Kate Jacob, DVM
Practice owner, Veterinarian
Specialties
Preventative care, with special interests in opthalmology, soft tissue surgery, dermatology and internal medicine.
Kate graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007, Kate has been working in our clinic since 2008. She grew up outside of Valley Center and is very thrilled to be able to provide top notch veterinary care for all of our clients and their animals. She became the owner of the clinic in 2021.
Kate has 3 beyond spoiled dachshunds, a cat whose main ambition in life is to conquer the world, a corgi-mix, a horse and 4 goats. She says if she had any more dogs, she would either need to buy a bigger bed, or learn to sleep on the floor.
Dee Ekstrom
Office Manager/Veterinary Assistant
Dee has been with the practice from almost the beginning. She helps keep the doors open and things running smoothly. She lives in the town of Sedgwick with her husband, together, they raised 2 children, who are both making their mother very proud. She now has 6 grandkids and 3 grandpups. She and her husband have 2 spoiled hunting dogs, as well.
Megan Kennedy
Veterinary Assistant/Customer Care Representative
Megan started at the practice in 2020. She has been a very positive addition to the staff, helping assist in the exam rooms and with clients in general. Megan has several pets at home including Peanut Butter and Jelly (PBJ), her pit bull mix, her Shih Tzu Jackson, and her snake Toshiro.
Emily Johnson
Veterinary Assistant/Customer Care Representative
Emily started at the practice in 2023. She has been a great addition to the team, always jumping in to help where needed and helping to keep things running smoothly. Emily has a dachshund at home that is hers, named Dash, as well as a few other shared family pets.
